The smooth bark perch is a native variety of Ash tree. Smooth bark tree wood is harvested from the pruned limbs of Ash tree and is always available. Maple can also be provided.

The branched Mastodon is 2 inch to 2.5 inch diameter -- the longer the perch, the thicker the diameter. Lengths are: 20, 24, 30, 36 inches (custom lengths available.
Before you order, measure the INSIDE of your cage from one side to the other. Then place your order. For instance if the inside measurement of your cage is just 36 inches, order the 36 inch Pudgy Perch. If your enclosure is not standard and the difference is more than 1/4 inch, let us know in the ask section below the length select drop-down. We will custom cut your perch at no extra charge.

Large Branched Bird Perch
Pudgy Perch Bark Features
The beautiful Ash bark features fissures and is cut from the trunk of a young, native variety of Ash tree. They are limited in supply because it is trunk wood. However, variations do exist from mild to moderate fissures to almost smooth bark depending on where the cut was made.
All are lovely and have the same durability. The only difference is that the smoother the bark becomes the easier it is to clean.
Pudgy Perch file smooths the bark of all perches as part of the cleaning process.
Maple perches are durable and lovely as well. They have smoother bark and generally pruned from branches, or clustered, young trees.
Dogwood perches are very hard and have a unique bark that is file smoothed.
